To properly diagnose and treat your injuries, we need to know as much as possible about your medical history and your current medical status and the medications you take. Our comprehensive exam includes your medical history in addition to an assessment of your injuries. This gives us the information we need to form a personalized treatment plan.
We check your vital signs, including:
- Temperature
- Blood pressure
- Heart rate
- Respiratory rate
- Height and weight
The doctor also will perform a visual exam to look you over while getting details of the accident. These exams look for external and soft-tissue injuries, including the following:
- Cuts
- Bruises
- Strains
- Sprains
- Whiplash
- Stiffness
